Hi! We’re Vijay and Ruth, a Canadian materials scientist and an American genetics researcher living in the San Francisco Bay Area in California. When we aren’t busy being nerds, we love checking out cool hikes, cute towns, and good eats, both near home and around the world.

We started this blog because we’re obsessive planners, and we always find ourselves scraping the internet to find nitty-gritty details about the places we plan to visit: where should we stay, what should we eat, what’s the fastest way to get around, and what sights should we check out (and which ones should we skip…). We wanted to put all of this information into one place, complete with pictures from our travels.
